How does mcp-crew work?

You connect via URL (crew.studiomeyer.io/mcp), authenticate with OAuth, and activate a persona with crew_activate(role: 'ceo'). Claude then receives the persona's system prompt including frameworks, methods, and optional memory context. Zero API cost, the persona is a prompt, not a second agent.

What personas are included?

13 personas, eight standard roles plus five specialists (Legal Advisor, Sales Engineer, Data Scientist, UX Researcher, Developer Relations), all currently free. The eight standard roles: CEO (OKR, Eisenhower Matrix), CFO (SaaS Metrics, Unit Economics), CMO (AARRR, Content Distribution), PM (RICE/ICE, JTBD, PRD), CTO (ADR, DORA Metrics, Tech Debt Quadrant), Analyst (SWOT, PESTLE, Porter's Five Forces), Support (Escalation Tree, Response Templates), and Creative (Brand Voice Spectrum, Headline Formulas).

Workflows are multi-persona analyses that run multiple experts sequentially on one problem. Three pre-built: Strategy Review (CEO, CFO, CTO), Content Pipeline (CMO, Analyst, Creative), and Product Launch (Analyst, PM, CEO, CMO, CTO). One command, all perspectives.

How does the Memory Bridge work?

If you have StudioMeyer Memory (memory.studiomeyer.io) connected, mcp-crew automatically loads relevant context into the persona. The CFO knows your pricing decisions, the CEO knows your strategy, the CTO knows your tech debt. The persona becomes your personal advisor.

Can I create custom personas?

Yes. With crew_create you define custom personas with name, role, frameworks, and system prompt. Stored server-side or locally in ~/.mcp-crew/personas/. Custom personas have full access to Memory Bridge and workflows.

What does mcp-crew cost?

Nothing. mcp-crew is free, all 16 tools, all 13 personas, all 3 workflows, custom personas, and Memory Bridge included. No API cost because personas are prompts, not separate agent calls.

How is mcp-crew different from DollhouseMCP or Ruflo?
