AI visibility

Does the AI recommend you, or your competition?

More and more people no longer ask Google, they ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini directly: who can you recommend? If you don't show up there, you lose customers, often without noticing. This page explains honestly how AI visibility really works, and gives you the prompts to check yourself in two minutes.

What this is about

Everyone suddenly claims to do AI visibility.

Now that ChatGPT and co. replace part of Google search, everyone suddenly offers AI visibility as a service. A lot of it is hot air: big promises, little behind them. So first, honestly, what it actually is.

When someone asks an AI which real estate agent, which restaurant, which tradesperson on Mallorca, the AI names a few. Some companies always show up, others never. That has little to do with your Google ranking. Whoever sits at the top of Google today often still doesn't get named by ChatGPT. So AI visibility is not simply SEO, and certainly not a button you press.

The good news: nobody can sell it to you as a finished product, which means nobody can keep it secret from you either. It comes from several building blocks, most of which have to do with your website and your own listings. You can even check most of it yourself, for free, right here.

Honestly

What can be influenced, and what can't.

AI visibility is not a button you press. Some things change quickly, some are real work over weeks, and some nobody can seriously promise you.

This can be fixed quickly

  • Building the website so AI can read it cleanly
  • Clear details on services, prices, opening hours and location
  • The technical basics so AI systems don't overlook the site
  • Keeping your listings consistent across the different platforms

This is real work

  • Writing content AI likes to quote: clear answers, numbers, examples
  • Building presence where AI gets its information: forums, directories, press
  • Sticking with it over weeks, not once and done

Nobody can promise this

  • A guarantee that ChatGPT will always recommend you
  • A Wikipedia entry at the push of a button
  • Results overnight, AI models change constantly

Anyone who guarantees you the number one spot in ChatGPT is selling you something. The honest truth: whoever already has clean website work and good content has come halfway. The rest you can tackle yourself, step by step.

What only you can do

Some of it nobody can do for you, not even us.

We are experts in AI visibility. Still, we're honest: part of the work no agency can do for you, because it's tied to your identity. And that's a good thing.

  • Your listings on the big map and assistant services

Microsoft Bing Places, Apple Business Connect and your Google Business Profile feed the answers of many AI systems directly. Only the owner can create and verify them, by phone, letter or ID. That's built that way on purpose, so nobody can register companies that aren't theirs.

  • Your accounts on review and industry platforms

Profiles that need your identity belong in your hands. We honestly tell you which ones matter for you. Setting them up and approving them is on you.

  • Keeping your real data current

Opening hours, address, services, phone number. Sounds trivial, but it's one of the strongest levers there is, and nobody knows your data better than you.

The good part: these steps cost nothing but a little time, and they often work right away. Anyone who tells you they'll handle all of this invisibly for you either hasn't understood it or doesn't mean it honestly.

Try it yourself

Ask your own AI first.

You don't need to fill anything in. Copy one of the lines and give it to your AI chat (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Claude). Most already know your website; if not, the AI just asks for your address. Important: make sure the AI is allowed to search the web, otherwise it only guesses.

Check whether my website is clearly visible to AI systems. Search the web thoroughly, then explain in detail and in simple terms what I can improve.

Copy

When someone asks an AI for a provider like me, do I get named? Research honestly, tell me where I stand and what I can concretely do to show up more often.

Copy

Compare my visibility in AI answers with that of my competitors. Search thoroughly and give me an honest assessment and the most important next steps.

Copy

The AI then gives you a list of concrete steps itself. That's exactly the work we're talking about. You can do a lot of it yourself; for the website part we help if you want. Either way, this check costs you nothing.

We do it for ourselves

We don't just talk about it, we do it.

Our own site is cited by AI systems regularly today, not because we bought a service, but because we did exactly the work we describe here. You can see the proof below, straight from the official Microsoft Bing Webmaster Tools dashboard, no polished self-report.

Why we're telling you this

We're not writing this to sell you something.

This page sells you no AI visibility service. It's meant to inform you, so you don't blindly buy something that draws most of its effect from things you hold in your own hands anyway.

A lot of it simply depends on your website: whether an AI can read it cleanly, whether your content is clear and current, whether the basics are right. That's exactly our craft. If you want that part built properly, we're here, honest and without guarantee promises.

And if not, that's completely fine too. Then you at least have the prompts here to check yourself, and you know what matters. That's the point.

Common questions

What you might still want to know.

What even is AI visibility?
How often and how well your business shows up in the answers of AI systems like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Copilot. More and more people ask these services directly for recommendations instead of clicking through a list on Google. Whoever gets named gets found. Whoever doesn't, basically doesn't exist for those users.
Isn't AI visibility just SEO?
Partly. Good, clean SEO is the foundation and helps the AI too. But it's no longer the same thing: whoever sits at the top of Google still often doesn't get cited by ChatGPT. AI systems judge differently. It's more about whether the AI knows and understands you as a business, and whether your content is clear enough that it likes to quote you. That's why AI visibility is more than SEO, not less.
Can I buy AI visibility as a finished service?
Be careful with that. There's no button and no subscription that makes you visible overnight. A lot of what makes the biggest difference depends on your website and on listings only you can create. Anyone selling you a quick AI visibility service via a few directory entries is usually selling you exactly the lever that does the least. Ask your own AI first, then you know what you really need to work on.
So what can I do myself?
More than you think. Give your AI chat the prompts on this page and you get a concrete to-do list. Create your listings on Bing Places, Apple Business Connect and your Google Business Profile yourself and keep them current. Make sure your website clearly says what you offer, for whom and where. Those are the basics, and most cost only time.
What does this have to do with my website?
A great deal. The website is the source the AI pulls your information from. If it's built cleanly, has clear content and is easy to read, it's easy for the AI to represent you correctly. If not, it guesses or leaves you out. That's why a well-built website is the single strongest lever you hold.
Will someone guarantee me the number one spot in ChatGPT?
If anyone promises you that, walk away. AI models decide on their own, change constantly, and nobody has direct access to that. The only serious approach is: get the basics right, keep at it, and measure honestly how it develops. A guarantee is not part of it.
How long until something happens?
The technical basics often take effect within days to a few weeks. Building real presence and content that gets cited takes longer, more like weeks to months. Nothing happens overnight, and that's also the honest yardstick you should hold every provider to.
We don't know you. Why should we believe you?
You don't have to. Look at the proof above: our own site is cited by AI systems regularly, according to the official Microsoft dashboard. We achieved that with exactly the work we describe here, not with a bought trick. And with the prompts on this page you can check any provider yourself, including us.
So do you also do this for us?
The part tied to the website, yes, that's our craft: built cleanly, easy to read, clear content. The listings tied to your identity you do yourself; we tell you exactly which ones and how. We're honest about what we can take off your plate and what we can't. That's exactly what sets us apart from a promise that promises everything.
Does this check cost me anything?
No. The prompts are free and you need no account with us. That's the whole point of this page: you should understand how AI visibility works and be able to measure it yourself before you spend money anywhere.

Visibility starts with understanding how it's built.

Try the prompts. And if you want help with the website part, get in touch. Honest, understandable, with no empty promises.
