Can I plug in pure knowledge instead of just data?
Yes, and this is actually one of the strongest use cases. Your own methodology, specialist expertise, experience, programmes or content can go into the AI Connector just like a database. The AI then answers from your system instead of from general knowledge. Whenever you know something the AI does not, this is particularly worth it.
Can I give access only to my paying customers?
Yes. You can decide per tool whether it is public, only for signed-up leads or only for paying customers. That way content, methods or programmes can be monetised inside the AI chat without everyone having access. A named allowlist for tightly held B2B advisory is also possible.
Does my knowledge stay mine or does the AI learn from it?
Your knowledge stays yours. It lives in your own AI Connector, not in any AI model. ChatGPT or Claude pull from your knowledge through the interface when your customer asks and pass on the answer. It doesn't become training data for Anthropic or OpenAI. If you switch the connector off, your knowledge is instantly only with you again.
Do I still need a website?
Yes, absolutely. The website remains the first contact point, through Google, through SEO, for explanation and trust. The AI Connector kicks in from the second touchpoint: when your customer already knows you and just wants to know, book or ask something, that now runs in the AI chat instead of on your site. What if I change my mind later?
